This drawing is a faithful rendition of a masterpiece from the Impey collection of Anglo-Indian natural history watercolors. Drawings from that collection are widely regarded as the finest of their kind, and upon being brought back to England in 1783 they were reproduced by many of the most important naturalists of that day, and of subsequent generations.
